Yesterday was truly magical. I’m still high on it. I’m still full from it :)
I had a Reiki Alchemy Session booked for 9:15am. I woke up so excited all I wanted to do was prepare for the session. So that’s what I did. I chose a quiet spot outside, lay a blanket down with a pretty sarong over it and set up my computer on a chair that became sacred just then. I began creating an altar especially for the session, which is one of my absolute favourite things to do. Some quartz from the gardens wanted to be there, orange flowers I got from the shops the other day, my painted heart rock, beach glass treasure and my lovely labradorite crystal all came to the party. It was getting more and more sparkly.
I lit some gorgeous smelling rose incense and let it clear the space. I sat down and got quiet and connected with The Oracle of The Dragonfae, asking for a pre-session reading for the lovely lady receiving my offering. I asked for a reading for me too, to support the process. As always, the card I got was perfect. I get very nervous to do face to face video sessions. I’m naturally an introvert and I’ve always found talking on the phone or Skype calls to be difficult for me. The card I drew instilled in me such a feeling of confidence and a knowing that the session was going to be wonderful. A door opened and I stepped through beaming :)
When it came time to begin the journey, we had some connection issues and I had to quickly move to another part of the garden to get better internet. So I asked my altar and sacred space to come with me astrally to the new location. I was reminded to always do the best you can with what you have. This has been a mantra that has allowed me to live life beyond my wildest dreams!
Once the session began I felt guided by a thousand angels. I felt the presence of the healing devas all around us. It was such a beautiful experience for me. The illusory boundaries between South Africa and California disappeared and I was filled with such gratitude for being able to do this work sitting in a peaceful garden surrounded on all sides by mountains, supported by majestic African rocks and a true knowing that THIS is what I was always meant to do. THIS is how I want life to be.
Of course there’s a Rumi quote for this…
“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”
What I truly love doing is becoming what I do for a living in this life. I would do this work for free because I love it so much. That’s how I know it’s my calling. Now I’m thinking of all the other things I’d do for free out of love. I’m going to make all those things my outer life purpose, no matter what it takes or how long it takes. Once you’ve tasted the deep fulfilment of living your true purpose I don’t think you could ever settle for “something else”. Yoga and Reiki are teaching me how to connect with my inner purpose, which is simply to be, and for a while I was content not knowing my outer purpose because of this. I guess I’m growing up a little. I guess I’m ridiculously excited about having a freaking career!
Thank you beautiful soul for giving a Reiki Alchemy Session a go. Your bravery and willingness to show up and go on this inner journey with me has touched my heart in tender places. I am deeply honoured to have shared this process with you. Thank you internet! Thank you Universe! Thank you Divine Connection! Thank you Everything! Yeehaaa!
